SubGrab is a free, browser-based tool for downloading YouTube subtitles and transcripts. We believe video content should be accessible in text form — for reading, research, language learning, and accessibility purposes.

Our tool extracts captions directly from YouTube's caption API and presents them in SRT, VTT, and TXT formats that you can use in video editors, media players, or any text application.

Our Mission

SubGrab exists to make knowledge more accessible. A 3-hour lecture that takes 3 hours to watch can often be read in under 30 minutes. We want to give learners, researchers, and curious people a faster way to consume video knowledge.

Privacy & Data

We take privacy seriously. SubGrab does not store your search history, the video IDs you look up, or any personal information. Transcripts are fetched in real time and never cached on our servers beyond the immediate request.
